GDPR Related Features

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of new EU personal data privacy laws that apply to anyone processing personal data of EU citizens regardless of where in the world these processing activities take place.

At CO-SENDER we have been hard at work to be GDPR compliant ourselves, as well as to help our users to stay GDPR compliant in the easiest way possible.

One of the main new GDPR requirements is the right of access – an individual has the right to know what data about him/her is being used and how. This means that your Subscriber can contact you and request such information. If this happens, simply copy your Subscribers’s information from the subscriber list, export Subscriber’s participation data to a CSV file, and provide this data to your Subscriber.

EU citizens now also have the right to be forgotten – a person may request that you delete all the data on that particular individual, including not only his/her personal information but also all his/her campaign participation data. So if a Subscriber contacts you with such a request, simply forward this request to us and we will remove this Subscriber’s data from your account. Note that your Subscriber can also send a valid request directly to us. In this case, we will inform you about such request and will delete the Subscriber’s personal data from your Account.

Exporting Subscriber Participation Data

As already explained in Advanced Search topic, user can conveniently search through all the subscribers and analyze each of them for their campaign participation data.

This subscriber data also can be conveniently exported (downloaded) as a CSV file. If you want to export multiple subscribers, each of them has to be exported as a separate file. To export subscriber’s participation data, simply click on “Export related campaign” button.

To export a subscriber list, select “Subscribers” from the main menu and select a subscriber list you want to export. Then simply click on “Export Subscribers” button.

Opt-In Subscriber List

You already know that you can add subscribers to your lists manually, one by one, or simply import them in bulk. Later on, when you get some new subscribers, you can simply update your subscriber lists.

However, instead of updating your lists time after time manually, we can provide you with a link to the subscriber signup form where your subscribers can opt-in directly into your chosen CO-SENDER subscriber list. In this way your subscriber list will be always up-to-date with the newest subscribers and you will never have to worry about importing them manually. Note that this option is available only for Paid plans.

If you would like to have an opt-in subscriber list, please contact CO-SENDER Support and we will be happy to set this up for you.

Campaign Sending Speed

Technically, CO-SENDER can send a campaign to millions of subscribers per hour, however same mail servers will not accept such large numbers of emails so quickly. This is done to avoid spam attacks that could negatively affect services of the mail servers and is known as Email Throttling. To put it simply, if you send huge amounts of emails too quickly, mail servers may assume it’s a spam, and delivery to some or many of the subscribers will bounce or fail.

To avoid this, CO-SENDER can spread sending of your campaign over a period of time. We can control and gradually increase the speed of emails sent to your subscribers. This is particularly useful and recommended for Dedicated IP Addresses and is known as IP Warming. Note that this will affect Email and AB Testing campaigns only. SMS, SMS API and Email API campaigns will still work as usual.

Another important benefit in controlling sending speed and spreading large campaigns over a period of time is that it helps to manage the rate of incoming calls and/or emails which require your action. Likewise, you can better manage server bandwidth to your website when, for example, marketing special promotions and sales.

If you would like that we would take care of sending speed for your campaigns please contact CO-SENDER Support and we will be happy to set this up for you.
